In-home daycare opening Alexandria

My in-home daycare provider has an opening. Her name is Monwara Hossain, and she lives in Alexandria off of Seminary Rd near INOVA Alexandria hospital. I live in Shirlington (S. Arlington), and it takes me about 8 minutes to get to her house from mine. My husband and I absolutely love Monwara -- she's so kind and knowledgeable. As a first time mom, I've been so happy to have a daycare provider for my son whom I trust and who can offer guidance. My son has been in her care since he was 3 months old, and it has been a wonderful experience. My son shrieks with glee when he sees Monwara. I love chatting with her at the end of the day when I pick up my son — she tells me details of what happened during the day, and we brainstorm together about ways to troubleshoot issues that crop up (adjusting his nap schedule over time, transitioning to cows milk, etc).

Monwara is currently caring for 2 toddlers: my son, who is 15 months, and another little boy who is 19 months. She is licensed for up to 5 children, but would prefer to care for just 1 more baby or toddler. My son attends 4 days per week, and the other child is there only 3 days per week. Monwara is willing to take a part-time or full-time child and is flexible with scheduling.

Monwara is licensed by the city of Alexandria, and I love that she has a social worker from the city who visits every 3 months. I have absolute trust in her, and really like that she has oversight from the city as well.
