Anyone else besides Erovinkin?

I think the Russian issue is big here. That conversation was not going well. The Republicans were against him. He has many conflicts of interest.

Now people are discussing a very controversial policy instead of going after him.

There are also the two Russian intelligence officers arrested for treason. Granted, they haven't been executed yet. I'm sure they'll receive the fairest of trials courtesy of Putin. So 3 people formally linked to Trump/election/dossier scandal. But nobody cares because everyone is (rightly) upset about the green card grenade.

Just to follow up on Erovinkin:

"(6) Finally, I want to highlight a story that many people haven’t noticed. On Wednesday, Reuters reported (in great detail) how 19.5% of Rosneft, Russia’s state oil company, has been sold to parties unknown. This was done through a dizzying array of shell companies, so that the most that can be said with certainty now is that the money “paying” for it was originally loaned out to the shell layers by VTB (the government’s official bank), even though it’s highly unclear who, if anyone, would be paying that loan back; and the recipients have been traced as far as some Cayman Islands shell companies.
Why is this interesting? Because the much-maligned Steele Dossier (the one with the golden showers in it) included the statement that Putin had offered Trump 19% of Rosneft if he became president and removed sanctions. The reason this is so interesting is that the dossier said this in July, and the sale didn’t happen until early December. And 19.5% sounds an awful lot like “19% plus a brokerage commission.”"

Holy shit

Others are saying this, too.

"Everyone is missing what is happening here.

Trump's Muslim ban getting slapped down by courts, the media condemning it, protesters coming out, politicians from both parties finally starting to speak up about it, all tee up something.

Now, with Steve Bannon on the NSC, and the DNI and Chair of the Joint Chiefs sidelined, the ONLY thing that needs to happen is for a big terrorist attack by a Muslim refugee, especially a green card holder. No previous president would ever have done this, but we've gone through the looking glass. That attack would give Trump and Bannon rhetorical space to say that not only are Muslims the problem, but also, politicians from both parties are a problem, the media is a problem, protesters are a problem, and the courts and judges are a problem. They've already prepared all of this. Kellyanne Conway was on TV this morning saying that the ruling of the "Obama appointee judge" doesn't affect the executive order, because the order is "preventing not detaining" and it's only a small percentage of people affected. They're TRYING to cause a Constitutional crisis and tee up the idea that national security, and executive law enforcement, trumps EVERY other consideration. Almost every Latin American country that copied our constitution fell to dictatorship because of that argument that national security trumps court rulings at some point in the last hundred years.

And since Trump's national security establishment has been hollowed out by purges and hiring freezes, and since the Constitution forbids military deployment within the US, Trump can say that government law enforcement isn't working, we need to contract out to private law enforcement.

Erik Prince, the former CEO of Blackwater, the private army that occupied Iraq, is reportedly "advising Trump from the shadows." His sister is Betsy DeVos, one of Trump's biggest donors. There is already a mercenary army waiting in the wings.

Russia won this election for Trump for a reason, and we are failing to appreciate the gravity of it. We are so much closer to zero hour than anyone in Washington seems to realize. Trump is already in violation of the emoluments clause. He MUST be impeached before it's too late."

Tell this to Ryan and McConnell, please. The Republicans have not woken up to this insane reality. They are so focused on their issues -- lowering taxes, outlawing birth control, getting rid of health and environmental regulations -- that they have made a pact with the Devil and won't admit it. Will they wake up before it's too late?

Real goal: blow up and decimate society on all levels and build back up - see Bannon's writings/interviews. Scariest move thus far - removing NSC leaders and installing Bannon.

Preppers are conservatives.

Yep. These are liberals in a full state of paranoia.

Say the people who believed in death panels and Jade Helm

I've been rereading all the "you liberals are all hysterical" posts for comfort. I've never hoped to be completely, flat-out wrong as much as I do right now.

Jade Helm was a military exercise. Death panels was a euphemism for government control

Too much tinfoil, pseudo deep thinking, shock game, long game, what kind of game, blah, blah, blah, look at me, I'm so sophisticated in my three dimensional analysis. Sometimes a horrible, bigoted policy is just that. Bigots gonna bigot.

Me too! And I wish I could forget about the Singapore phone call that didn't make sense.

You all are making the far right conspiracy theories look normal.
It is actually funny to read some of these.
Looking forward to the next one that will come out today.

The Zunger piece is important. All the points made "against" this post, he agrees with. Yes, bigots gonna bigot. Trump is going to do what he was elected to do. But the important question is, what else is happening, and why? Trump/Bannon didn't spell out the bigger game here. If you think he's playing just because he likes to build walls, well, I can't really help you there. Obviously the groundwork is now laid for the executive branch to ignore the judiciary, the press, any politicians who speak out against them... Add to that the delegitimization of the popular vote.

America, wake up. This is not partisan! This is not a policy debate as usual.

Lots of blanket posts dismissing this as paranoia, but I don't see any attempt to refute the facts and pattern laid out in the medium article and elsewhere. It's all been done in plain sight, too. No need for conspiracies. The only pity is that Americans never had to fight for what they've taken for granted, so I predict a slight time lag as this is all absorbed. But thanks to social media I already see many discussing.
