Haven't been to McDonald's since December 2023

January 2020. I was driving back and forth moving stuff from my old place to new, and stopped for a filet o fish.

Child abuse. It's probably the first place they'll go when they break free, if they aren't already sneaking there with their friends.

I doubt it. I never got it for my kids when they were little and now they don’t like it.

That is 5 months ago. Hardly seems noteworthy.

I am not sure when I was there last. Maybe 15 years ago?

I eat it about twice a month during baseball season with my sons

Every Friday.

It amuses me that some people will only eat at McDonald's if they're moving!

I eat there maybe twice a year when we're on long road trips. It is always delicious -- truly, I think the quality has improved. Last summer, I ate one of their sausage biscuits and thought I was in heaven.

It's the cheapest coffee you can get in Tahoe!

Is this something you note in a calendar? I have no idea. We used to stop for Happy Meals on car trips until my kids out grew that phase...probably 15 +years.

Other than a McFlurry or a cup of coffee, I don’t really eat at McDonald’s. I do like Egg McMuffins, but it’s been awhile.

What is the longest you been with out ?

+1. Even as a kid I hated McDonalds. Absolutely loved Boston Market though!

5-7 years? I recall the pancakes being passable, but the regular menu gross.

Since last Thursday?

2005 in Lima Peru. We'd gotten lost, I happened upon it, and decided I wanted to order Peru-specific menu items to see what they were like.

We don't go on long car rides. We fly, and bring a bunch of snacks onto the plane. Dh and I are both foodies, so we're more likely to make a milkshake or fries at home. I don't understand your point about "how people ... move ..." Why would moving houses necessitate going to McDonalds?

DP but there are certain situations where your family needs to eat immediately, you don't have access to a kitchen, and there's very little open or nearby. Like if you spent the day moving and it's 7:30 and you can't cook because there's no food in the house and you need to eat now, not in 40 minutes when a pizza shows up. The thing about McDonald's is that it's incredibly fast-- you can be eating within a few minutes of placing your order.

Or you could have planned ahead and packed a lunch and snacks. Unless you got evicted in which case, I get it. Otherwise, if you planned for the move, you could plan for the food. If you wanted to. If you don’t want to and like eating McDonalds, nothing wrong with that, but it’s not like it’s hard to avoid. I haven’t eaten there since I was 8 and it has not been a hardship in any conceivable way, because I have never liked the food and it would never occur to me to go there.
