Dating divorced men in their fifties

But if I were to try to date someone right now, I think the best I could do is, "Um, how's a week from Wednesday work for you?" I can't even imagine how busy someone with kids would be.

People our age just have a lot going on. Doesn't mean he's dating around.

Wut?

You're:
single
childless
employed by the fed

It's literally impossible that you have 'a lot' going on.

Agree. If a childless fed worker can’t make time for you, he’s just not that into you. I say this as a childless fed worker

A lot are paying alimony and/or child support to a prior wife and don't look to take on the maintenance/retirement/expense of another new low paid or no job with no retirement middle aged woman.

Men that age with good jobs always have options so unless your friend is a 25 year old bikini model, an older man is going to live his life and fit the 50 year old woman in when convenient.

Feeling seconded and not being desired kills it for me. Last minute scheduling, formalistic texts etc. It’s called bread-crumbing dating style, really affects woman’s self esteem.

Women do this too and simply DNGAF about any effect on male self esteem. (Nothing makes me want to put in a lot of effort like the certain knowledge she’s juggling five other guys and looking for a better deal.)

Curious about this as someone not from DC. If you were dating someone super busy like a White House aide, how much time would you expect them to make for you?

NP but I have lived in Dac most of my life and I wouldn’t date a White House aid. Too busy. No point. And if they’re lucky they make maybe 125k a year.

So this is a busier job than what the other PP was talking about (Pentagon, House of Representatives)?
