What is the Tiffany toggle necklace?

My DD wears it literally every day just about, and no it has never tarnished, probably because she wears it alot.

No one wears pearl studs. Women would prefer diamond stud earrings. Sorry.

Lots of women, of all ages, wear pearl studs. OP doesn’t have the budget for quality diamond studs. I’d rather give pearl studs than a generic Tiffany silver necklace

My 20 y.o. daughter still wears the pearl studs she received for her sweet sixteen.

When I was 18, I bought myself the Elsa Peretti Eternal Circle necklace in sterling silver from Tiffany. I still wear it occasionally 30 years later. I also have the Elsa Peretti Open Heart pendant, earrings, and ring from about 20 years ago - they are very classic. I also like the Elsa Peretti teardrop necklace.

When I had my son, my husband bought me this with his initial on it and I wear it daily: https://www.tiffany.com/jewelry/necklaces-pendants/tiffany-notes-alphabet-disc-charm-pendant-GRP03112/

All are under $500.

There's an asset that would turn the $500 today into about a half a million in ten years. Are you sure she wants jewelry?

Ummm, all silver tarnishes. I am able to address that in minutes with a small pot, and some boiling water with baking soda and tin foil in it.

Ok, and sterling silver isn’t very “special” and no teen or college student is going to be boiling their jewelry in baking soda. It will be stashed in a drawer once it tarnishes to sit there for years

You don't have to boil it in baking soda until it tarnishes -- which, if it happens at all, will be years down the road when they aren't teens or college students anymore.

Agree with this. I have both and only wear the diamonds.

I have both and have worn the pearls more than the diamonds the past few years, what with pearls being in style (which apparently DCUM is totally unaware of).

Hermes bracelet is just an advertisement for Hermes. It wouldn’t mean much.

I buy my daughter mostly costume jewelry but some expensive gold. I don’t know how anyone can tell the difference.

My 12-year-old loves and wears her pearls (mostly earrings and necklace). She also has 18k princess-cut diamond earrings and an emerald ring.

Nothing was over $500 on eBay, bought from a reputable dealer.

I just bought her the trendy double-heart Return to Tiffany double-heart pendant for half of what it would have cost new at a store.

This is the one we went with, DD loves it.

That’s really pretty and meets the price constraint. I might copy you!

Yuck.. bland and only silver. For $500 buy gold.

Agree $500 can get you gold somewhere else. Try TJ maxx and see what they have that’s real gold
