I do think she is bipolar or some variation if manic mental illness but I agree with the rest of your post. I think she's low IQ and has about a 3rd grade education which contributes to how her mental illness manifests itself. |
Who is River Red? why speak in the English accent? I think it's multiple personalities. |
There are some false assertions in this thread.
Britney was nearly broke at the time of her public meltdown and the initiation of the conservatorship. During the conservatorship her father and his team grew her wealth by tens of millions of dollars. It is very often the case that people with serious mental illness manage that illness best with a structured schedule that includes work, especially when the work is of a physical and/or creative nature as there is abundant research establishing the effectiveness of both approaches (exercise, creative therapy) in managing mood disorders and Britney has a very serious mood disorder. Anyone with eyes can see that Britney has been steadily going off the rails since her ‘release’ from the conservatorship that was allegedly doing her so much harm. I’m sure there were aspects that were dysfunctional- it would have been best had her father not been primarily involved because of the layers of complicated historical relationship there. That said, having actually practiced in this area as an attorney, I’ve seen that is it often only family members who are truly motivated to preserve a protected person’s estate for their own benefit. Yes her father took fees and costs and those were substantial, but so was the business he was managing for her. He left her with 60+ million and that’s tens of millions more than she had when she shaved her head and beat up a car with an umbrella or whatever. I hope Britney doesn’t burn out before the natural aging process tempers her mental illness. But clearly she is not being productive in a healthy way and that is sad. She’s a wounded and damaged person and she needs treatment and work to channel her energy and emotions and it seems likely she has neither of those in her life and nobody encouraging her in that direction. The Free Britney crew has long since looked away. |
Like Madonna still playing the sexpot role. Not good. |
Most of her 90s peers stopped regular school in like junior high and they’re doing ok. Britney’s problem is obviously being the victim and witness of severe abuse from childhood. Biographers and/or Britney have mentioned being paddled in school, whipped with switches, living in trailer park and eating squirrels and crawfish when they were dead broke, her father being a drunk gambler and a womanizer and womanbeater who couldnt keep a job and berated and hit her mother , walking around topless/ naked at home, seeing her father and uncle tussle over guns, and her mother lying and pretending everything was dandy and not leaving her husband or seeking help. Courtney Love said she heard the dad used to molest Britney. She was never sued for this wild accusation. There’s lots that went wrong before Britney went famous that she would’ve been a hot mess regardless of fame or not I urge people to read up on Britney’s paternal aunt Leigh Ann Spears . She was also raped by her father (Britney’s grandfather ), and she said Jamie isn’t much different from the father she hated. She also implied that Jamie’s mom (her stepmom) wasn’t bipolar and didn’t die from suicide and she got harmed by the grandfather. There’s huge huge generational trauma there with Britney |
She wasn’t handed shit - she worked her butt off supporting her family since elementary school. |
Calling the woman who made her dirt poor family multi millionaires low IQ isn’t fair. Artistic people are actually quite high IQ. Britney if I’m not mistaken was an understudy on Broadway at eight years old. You ask your eight year old if they can do that . She actually should’ve stayed on the Broadway track and studied musical theater instead of going the pop star route but Lynne Spears was too impatient to wait for high school and college

She has delusions and episodes of psychosis. I can tell you with great heartbreak that age will not temper her mental illness. If anything, she may become lost to it full time, with few, if any, moments of lucidity. |
Goodness, I had no idea she comes from such abuse. My family is similar and I can say that, although I do not struggle with mental illness, I am still not over the pain and anguish even though I am in my 40s. The hurt, the anger at having been through that, the self-worth issues, the confusion about what normal looks like…it all lingers. My heart aches for her. |
Britney has a lot that is similar to Kanye. Both clearly have untreated mental illness.
In the US it is legal to have untreated mental illness. |

Maybe she’s not just mentally ill but taking other drugs. So two problems: not the right meds plus some wrong ones. So much talent and she seems like a nice person. I want someone to save her. Not her dad. |
Just leave her alone and let her be. She's not hurting herself or anyone else. Some of you are so nasty. |
She mentions in her book that her grandmother took her own life. |
