Are there any good schools whose culture has not been completely overtaken by the "white people are to blame for the world's woes"? And don't tell me to look at Liberty. I mean Ivies and a level below. I feel like the college cultural pendulum has swung so hard to the left. Even Chris Rock says he doesn't do college tours because college audiences are so intolerant! (In the name of tolerance, of course).

What the hell are you talking about?
|
SMU? That's one of the better-regarded "conservative" schools. |
This is really nothing new. Quit acting like you don't know what the OP means. |
You won't find it at the Ivies or the other top 10s. Something to think about. |
Newsflash - education can open your eyes and make you liberal! Unless you manage to keep your head in the sand! |
Which is ironic given that most of the Ivies discriminate against Asians. |
Sorry, OP. Facts have a liberal bias. |
Bob Jones
Oral Roberts Whatever college Ken Starr is regent of these days Or if you want to cast the net a little broader, maybe any member of the SEC. |
The OP said that he wanted a conservative near-ivy.
Honestly, UVA would probably be a reasonable fit. They have a fairly conservative, fratty culture (until recently anyway). |
How's Dartmouth these days? Don't they turn out a stream of National Review staffers/editors? |
Duke! They'll really look out for your student. |
BYU? Baylor? |
OP here, first of all, I am a liberal. Second, my DH and I went to Ivies, but I think things have changed radically since we went to school in the early 90s.
I really don't think there is the same intellectually tolerant atmosphere that I got to experience. I'm not some red-state Republican who is "afraid of liberal facts." At the the same time, I don't want my children to be indoctrinated into the current white-christian-men-are-to-blame-for-EVERYTHING culture that is so rampant on many school campuses. |
You want to teach your child to ignore history and facts? Try a theological seminary school. |
