stupid question about blinds, please help

Anonymous
We just bought a house, and they took the blinds in every room. Some windows are huge. I don't have a clue as to go about measuring, installing, etc. Is there a service? Any assistance?

Blinds to Go and Next Day Blinds will all come in and measure and install for you if your order from them. We found Blinds to Go to be much less expensive. We purchased from them 5 or 6 years ago and have had no issue with our blinds.

Douchey move on the previous owner's part.

May want to check your contract for the sale of the house. I think (it has been a while since we bought our house) that our contract specifically included language that window treatments stay. You might have a way of getting your blinds covered by the prior owners.

+1. Blinds usually convey.

Absolutely, check your contract. It isn't so black and white with window treatments, I think, although I would consider some to be fixtures, such as plantation shutters. Here is an article about it too. I'd check in with your realtor about the law and customs where you are.

Next Day Blinds is expensive if you have standard window sizes. Measure the windows and go to Home Depot or Loews.

If you can't get the blinds back, go online. Blinds Select or whatever. They have videos for how to measure accurately, or hire a handyman to do this part. It'll end up being WAY cheaper

I would def. check your contract. I specifically asked about the binds in my new house and realtor said they convey. Plus who the hell takes blinds with them-especially since windows are usually different sizes?

that should be *blinds*.

I do know of a woman who bought a house and when the owner moved, he took the fridge with him. She had to work with realtor to locate and find him. He ended up just giving her money towards a new one.

How cheap are you?
Call a window covering company. They measure, Order and install. What cheap ass houses do you live in where you put up crap coverings? Get custom coverings.

Has anyone used Costco's window treatment/blind services?

Simmer down, money bags. People aren't always flush with cash after buying a house. Especially if they thought their windows would be covered.
