Maleficent the Movie

Is this movie age appropriate for kids? My child is driving me crazy to see it, but only 7. It looks a little intense from the previews.

Commonsense review is coming tomorrow.

But I would say 7 is too young based on the previews.

The Common Sense Media review comes out tomorrow. It is rated PG. My kid is 7 and wants to see it too. So I'm looking forward to some reviews....

What other PG movies have you let your child see? I have no idea about Maleficent but this is very subjective and should be based on your child's maturity, your comfort level, and their previous experience with live-action movies.

This one looks really dark for 7 years old. Mine at 7 years old couldn't handle scooby-doo cartoons on TV.

I am taking my 4y old!

I hope you will enjoy the 5 minutes of the movie before you will have to leave with a terrified, crying kid.

This for my 7 year old.

Before I get flamed for my kid being too sensitive, his brother would have been fine with 'darker' movies at age 7. Different kids react differently.

Hope you're thick skinned, because this comment is going to cause major rippage.

No, she will be fine based on past experiences.

My 6 year old is begging to see it (has seen lots of previews/commercials), so we'll go. If we have to leave during the movie, so be it.

I find that weirdly disturbing.

My 8-year old has seen an ad for it and said "We're not seeing that one Mom!" Too scary for him, but every kid is different.

My kids, 5 and 7, wanted to stop going to movies after seeing the TRAILER for Maleficent. And they are not at all scaredy types.
