New ceramics center near Brookland offers pottery classes for kids.

District Clay has opened near Brookland and is offering kids classes in wheel thrown pottery on Thursdays from 4 to 6 pm. This is the first new ceramics center to open in the District in over twenty years. As part of a grand opening sale, kids and other classes are 20% off. Kids are usually fascinated by the wheel and often take to it faster than adults. It is a skill that can last a lifetime and offers one of the few opportunities to make something lasting with your hands.
