Imagine School Campuses

Anonymous
I just found this site and noticed the lottery notification deadlines. I just put in for the lottery today for the charter schools. I signed up for all the imagine campuses. Then realized I do not know much about the Imagine Schools. Imagine morningside is closer to me. Does anyone have any experience with the imagine campuses or charter schools.

Also since I put my lottery in so late does that affect my daughter chances of getting in?

I am in the same boat. I applied to imagine schools but unsure of how the schools are run.

I would like clarification. Is it true that each charter school does it's own lottery at the school? So if I applied to two schools and got accepted would that mean that both schools would send me and acceptance letter and I have to choose? I am confused!!!!! I know someone who said they applied to two schools last year and only one school responded.

One thing to note about Imagine is that they do not teach social studies. You have to do that. They give the kids projects but do not spend classtime going over the topic. It is the parent responsiblity to do that with their kids.

Imagine schools also do not provide school buses. (at least they did not 2 years ago)

No bus transportation, as far as social studies often the public schools do this as well because there is not enough time in the day or because social studies can be embedded in other curricula. I did not see any reviews on the morningside campus maybe because it is new or sometimes they do not have a lot of testing data. I wish I could help hopefully someone will read that post that have attended or know someone and can give reviews. My coworker did say that her son goes to Andrews air force base charter and she loved it. Only thing is they take mostly military kids first.
