warmest/fuzziest doc at shady grove?

any suggestion? I loved dr. sacks at Columbia, but want to move to Shady Grove for a whole host of reasons, but am looking for someone on the warmer side- that is who I work best with. Thanks!

I'm assuming DC office since you were with CFA? Dr. Osborne in the DC office is very warm and caring. Not my style and, after reading many DCUM posts, Dr. Widra would have been a better fit for me, but I can vouch that Dr. Osborne is very warm.

I really like Dr Levens. He's in the Annandale location though. He is really kind and gentle. He called me after every failed cycle to see how I was handling it. He listened to my questions/concerns and did what he could to make me feel reassured.

Another vote for Dr Levens. He called to check up on me daily after egg retrieval to make sure my hyperstim symptoms were under control and called to see how I was doing after every failed cycle as well. Excellent bedside manner

Dr. Levens and Dr. Doyle--both have excellent bedside manners and are excellent REs.

I agree with PP about Dr. Widra. From the beginning he was very easy to talk to and made it a very comfortable experience. He and Carrie, the nurse, were incredible the entire time.

I can also vouch for Dr. Osborne being warm and caring. I didn't have as much experience with her but she was great when I did see her for an appt.

I'm the PP who suggested Dr. Osborne. I really liked Dr. Widra, but I wouldn't describe him as the "warmest/fuzziest" doctor in the SGFC DC office. Given OP's criteria, I think Dr. Osborne would be a better match.

I recommend against Dr Doyle who made a serious mistake at the time of my transfer resulting in lots of emotional grief for me. When my assigned doc tried to figure out an explanation Doyle did not remember me or the conversation we had had.

Dr Levens for me too! He's in Annandale which was closest to my house though. He was so very kind. He took my phone calls and answered my emails and also called after our failed cycle (second cycle worked).

If say Dr. Doyle. He's very warm and fuzzy. He did a couple of procedures for me and my successful transfer. The blasts weren't the best quality and he was still so positive and reassuring (and I got pregnant with twins).

My primary doc is Widra and I absolutely adore the man but he is not warm and fuzzy.

HOw is this possible? I felt like the lab was so quick to discard anything less than perfect. I was never given a chance to weigh in. I chalked this up to their desire to limit the number of cycles and keep their stats high.
