Make me feel better-- Name something you hate about your house

Is there something you don't like about your house that due either to finances or the laws of physics you know will never change?

Oh, lord where do I start?

1) The color of the brick- brown and yellow "fancy" brick from the 1920s.
2) Tiny original bathrooms with zero space.
3) Giant tree in back yard that means we have no space for a table/chairs etc.

i don't like the way the floor seperates during the winter

My central air unit is too small for the square footage. My house really needs a split unit, but the estimates we've gotten have been around $30,000. NOT doable. We will just have to continue living with an extremely cold house in the winter, and hot house in the summer.

I don't like how the bottom level is so un-insulated, it's practically un-liveable during the winter months of the year.

I also don't like how it's open floor plan so I cannot close any d@mn doors b/w rooms.

My garage doors are so narrow that I can barely fit my car in.

we dont have a basement - huge mistake (bought pre-kids)

Our HVAC system is totally messed up, we've spent a ton of money trying to fix it with no avail.

My kitchen is ugly and tiny but who knows when I'll have the $ to redo it...

Right now, I hate that I need to replace the front doors. That'll be expensive and I don't have the money.

I wish I had a patio.

And I'm having wicked problems with my fireplace.

New PP. Have you considered getting a damper? It might really help.

I love our (new) house, but from the front it looks too symmetrical and I wish the walls were more solid.

The tile guy didn't slope my frameless glass shower threshold step enough so now when I shower, the water pools on the step and drips outside .

Our kitchen is the original 1970's kitchen. It's terrible. Tiled counters/floor/backsplash all in white. I can't wipe down the counters thoroughly without scrubbing grout and basically vacuuming up the crumbs because the edge of the counter and the sink both have raised edges, so I cant sweep stuff off.

$30k estimate for a very basic cabinet/counter/floor replacement, no appliances or movement of any electrical/plumbing. Not happening.

hmm, I've never heard of that. I'll have to do some googling. Currently, we have those flexi magnet sheets over the vents in rooms that we don't use.
