I am returning to work and pumping like crazy for a baby in the nicu. It would be great to be able to email etc while in my office but many of the hands free bands I've seen online look like giant straight jackets. Any simple bands they you can recommend that work well enough for typing etc ... I won't be vacuuming and pumping or anything. |
I just use an old sports bra with holes cut out. |
This one is awesome:
http://www.amazon.com/Simple-Wishes-Hands-Free-Breastpump-XS-L/dp/B00295MQLU I have a Medela pump-in-style advanced and have use this exclusively throughout. I have fairly large breasts and it has worked great for me. Good luck with everything you're trying to balance, and I hope your baby is doing well. |
Yes to all of this! Simple Wishes for the bra and good wishes for you and the baby ![]() |
I have the Medela one, and it's ok. I haven't tried anything else so I can't compare. |
Yes, this thing rocks although it's sort of hilarious-looking. Best of luck to you. |
Simple wishes for sure and they are havinga promotion right now. the $29 version is free just pay shipping with code Handsfreeholiday. |
Simple wishes is what use to pump at work. It's great. |
I used cheap Target bras with holes cut out. I gave husband the bras, the pump parts, explained what I needed and BOOM, cheep solution. I also have two so have one clean and one milky. Perfect! |
Another vote for Simple Wishes (also love their storage bags!). It is a workhorse and very comfortable; at the office I just take off my top and put it on over my nursing bra, then put a fleece zip-up on for warmth.
I have a Pumpease bra as well and it's okay: it fits snugger than the Simple Wishes, but the pumping flanges seem to be held a tad less securely and it is, ahem, less modest at the openings. It also takes a little more time to fasten the hooks, vs the zipper on the Simple Wishes bra. I tried the Rumina pumping tank, but their largest size was uncomfortably small for me; I am a 38D. Good luck with everything! |
The pumpin pal strap necklace thingy. Less overhead than a bra of any design. |
I love my PumpEase. It's not like a straight jacket at all - it's easy to get in and out of. Plus it's adorable and has a matching wet bag ![]() |
All you need is a regular nursing bra and 2 rubber bands. Twist the rubber band to make an 8 then put the breast shield thru the bottom loop and attach the top loop to the hook on your bra. Here is a link for making a 8 using two rubber bands. i have small breasts so i was able to do with just one http://kellymom.com/bf/pumpingmoms/pumping/hands-free-pumping/ |
Simple wishes worked great. |
I used 4 rubber bands. Best solution ever.
