Except that's not nepotism |
wait, what? You realize she has 4 degrees, don't you? A Bachelor's from Stanford, a Masters and a Doctorate from Oxford and an MPH from Columbia. You may not like her, but you canNOT credibly accuse her of having limited brain power. |
Except she sucked and they cut her. |
The ones that bug me are Meghan McCain and the other one on the View- they are so dumb and have so little to contribute. |
Fluffy newsbunny jobs are nepotism jobs. Bush, McCain, Clinton etc. It's expected - they draw both positive and negative audiences/attention based on their families. |
I believe it's nepotism if you hire your relatives. Her dad didn't hire her. Favoritism, maybe? |
Good point, you're right. |
So much this. Although not a fan of her father's politics, I find Jenna delightful and enjoy her family stories. |
Jenna may have had access to this opportunity because of her name/family, but her success is due to the fact that she is a natural at it. Chelsea Clinton proves the point; she had the same kind of access, was not good at being a broadcaster, and disappeared from that role immediately. |
It's not what you know but who you know. |
I can see people mixing up its and it's. But calling someone a dum-dum implies you have the vocab of a 6 year old. |
And ironically, makes it clear that you don't know how to spell dumb. |
I'm not even sure it's that. You think NBC would be swayed by a call from W? She didn't even start until he'd already left office. Her name recognition may be what made her appealing for ratings purposes but I doubt it had anything to do with her family calling in chits, and certainly not with family members hiring her. Billy Bush succeeded despite the name and connection. He was on the radio for a long time before moving to TV. |
OP - "nepotism at its finest" is actually Ivanka and Jared. There is no other comparison that comes close in modern day America. |
She’s knocked up again so you won’t have to watch her for a while. |
