How much does Mathnasium cost?

Be aware that they pay their tutors $10-15/hour. Maybe the curriculum is worth it, but anyone with an ounce of tutoring skills will be working privately for 4x as much.

Yep, we pay a private tutor ~$55 once a week. He's great and challenges our kid with math 3 grades above her grade level.

Alot of these mathnasium tutors have absolutely no social skills. I cant imagine them even attempting to find their own clients, as even eye contact is a struggle. Given where we live there are quite a few at out local center that attend TJ. Thay have been great with my middle schooler who is an advanced learner. I definitely would not use mathnasium for an child with learning disabilities, but it was been perfect for my "normal" student and my "advanced " student. Has managed to keep them with straight As and scoring very high on standardized tests. Both my boys find math extremely easy and I credit the tutors at mathnasium for much of that.

Is there any recent information on the Capitol Hill location? Cost, tutor performance, improvement in your child's abilities?

You’re lovely.

My dd, who recently graduated with BS in Mathematics and had volunteer tutoring experience, was fired with no notice or reason from a Mathnasium a few years back.

We pay $399 for middle school. Our center seems to separate from pre algebra and algebra. I think we paid $279 for elementary last year.

This was not our experience at all. The tutors were mostly very engaging and helpful for my math-resistant elementary schooler. I really liked that they spent time on both remedial work and helping her with her actual homework/upcoming tests.

Our center is a combination of high school students an retired teachers. They could make more tutoring, but that's also more work. My daughter really looks up to them and most seem to be really good with the kids.

There is a $99 assessment fee and a $50 registration fee. This pricing is for two sessions a week and this is what we paid last year. We are no longer enrolled but while we were I found it to be helpful.

I mean to say PP back. I am not the regional poster.

DP.

We went to the Mathnasium and Olney and we’re very happy with the experience.
