How much does Mathnasium cost?

Anonymous
Their website is not very informative. A good tutor 3x a week that comes for an hour a day costs us $180. Now my other child needs a tutor also, so this will be too expensive. I read about Kumon and Mathnasium and think Mathnasium would be a better match since my kids, although good students, are absolutely not math motivated and will not be happy doing endless worksheets. If they were to attend Mathnasium 3x a week, what would be the cost?

Thank you!

I'll have to double check the exact price, around $200 a month. You get to go twice a week. Much more affordable than a tutor.

It is better if you go to one of the main source of info, as I did last year.

You mean $180 a week so you are paying $720 a month for tutoring for one elementary age child? And now you might have to pay for second child? What issues are your kids having in math and what grades are they in?

Op back. For the mathnasium in Olney The paperwork says elementary school math from first grade to fifth grade is $199 a month. Middle school sixth-grade to pre-algebra is $279. There is a $99 assessment fee and a $50 registration fee. This pricing is for two sessions a week and this is what we paid last year. We are no longer enrolled but while we were I found it to be helpful.

Mathnasium is Alexandria (on Beulah) is $279 a month for elementary. It is pricey, but my DS has gotten a lot out of it.

I mean to say PP back. I am not the regional poster.

Wow, that's great. I was thinking about having them go 4x a week during half of June and all of July. At $400 a month it is still a great deal, it will cost me just a bit more than a private tutor, but for both kids.

Check groupon. I've seen deals for specific sites.

Are you sure your kids need tutors? Maybe they aren't math motivated because they are just doing too much of it... How old are they? What are their issues? Some kids are just a bit slower out of the gate and catch up on their own at school.

OP didn't ask for advice on whether her kids need tutors. Stop trying to armchair parent her kids. You're not good at it.

We enrolled in Mathnasium in silver sp. @225 per month. Unlimited 1 hour sessions within a month, but one per day preferred.

Not in DC, but I signed up my two kids for around $800/kid for the summer for 24 sessions per kid. it was a special summer plan. If I committed to 12 months, then it would be around $220 per kid per month. I am trying it out for the summer: one kid needs math enrichment, and one kid needs more math challenge (age 7 and age 9). Hopefully it will be worth it! I recognize it's a small fortune but I am facing resistance to workbooks at home and straddling their needs is getting harder. Also, their math abilities are starting to converge, which is not good for the older kid, and so I decided to outsource for the first time.

I enrolleded my son in Aventura, Fl. Thr monthly charge was two payments 244 each. Total charge was 488 for the month. That included one time fees of $90. That seems way too overpriced compared to the other locations.

Ours was 275 per month
