Is anyone watching Spicer's press conference?

Heavy.com did a livestream for those who missed it. Nothing happens for about an hour and a half.

Nothing happens for about an hour and a half because Spicer was over an hour late for this scheduled press conference. I wonder if someone was having a meltdown backstage.

And someone's about to get fired. Anyone else think it's Sean Spicer?

For the first time, I'm actually a little nervous about his delicate ego. I mean, Spicer looked like someone was holding his wife and kids hostage. Or maybe like he's the hostage himself, reading a prepared statement just before getting beheaded.

And this is just a reaction to the inaugural attendance numbers. Plus some unknown's tweet about a bust in the oval office.

Pretty awful.
Still better than HRC presser at the UN.

We need a good nickname for Spicer, along the lines of Baghdad Bob.

Trump picked an entire staff and Administration of training wheel hires. That's fine-and-good in Trump tower where his kids run a business that's been bankrupt 7 times, not good when its our entire country.

This is ridiculous. Just steal Paul Ryan's Press Secretary for god's sake and stick him with the toddlers. I don't understand this mindset.

What are your smoking? No messenger could sell that insanity.

The stage is being set for a larger press room in the old executive office building. The Trump administration will invite some of the lesser media players who they deem to be sympathetic or fairer to them. And the MSM will be relegated to a lesser role.

Just watch ..........

Their just trying to serve up some distraction so the media switches their focus from the rallies today.

Yep, that is exactly what they're trying to do.

That's the party line. What's really going on is the end of access journalism at the White House.

I sort of agree ...... the administration is laying a marker that the press has the right to ask questions but the administration will decide who gets to ask the questions.

I don't doubt that's true. A free press is a measure of democracy and it's clearly not what this administration wants.

On a more superficial level, every showman needs a backstage and the scrutiny of the White House doesn't afford that. Spicer's performance today gave a peek into their dysfunction. As he indicated in the last 30 seconds, there were plenty of important matters to discuss. They just don't want to discuss them.

I'm pretty sure he was trying to call them out on their misrepresentation and attempts to portray him in a negative light. I've heard lots of talk about the numbers, but has anyone mentioned how the Time reporter suggested that Trump removed the MLK bust from the Oval Office? That was a ridiculous accusation to tweet out and be wrong about it.
