Is this for real? HGTV is running all those sappy holiday promos with these two kissing in front of a Christmas tree. And don't they have an infant?

I was talking to someone about this too - the show and relationship definitely has a different dynamic than the "family-centric" Gaines' show. My Christian church is accepting of gays. I'm an episcopalian. And also a Christian Minister. I would love to see Jesus quoted on homosexuality. He never said one word about it. He talked a lot about hypocrisy, pride, indifference, intolerance, lying, stealing, gluttony, etc. We know homosexual behavior was rampant at the time and in the places Jesus ministered. Yet he didn't think homosexuality was important enough to mention. Hmmmmmmmm.

I distance myself from any church that is intolerant. Period. That is not Christ-like behavior by any definition.

Agree with PPs that hgtv needs to change their lineup. So tired of both of these shows. The only interesting one is house hunters international.

yeah. I am tired of all the shows at this point. I like the remodels they do, but the hosts are all aggravating.

Not that this has to do with their divorce, but in regards to their looks, I think they are both one, maybe two notches above average. If you see episodes from the first season (pre $), she seems extremely middle of America (hair, outfit choices. No offense, Midwesterners). She got more attractive with time(/$).


They're both annoying and dorky. But something was endearing about those two, even though they were awkward and their promos seemed uncomfortable. They just seemed like really average Americans who got lucky. I read an article a while ago about how they used to be poor and would share $5 subway sandwiches. As a pp said, their chemistry seemed real and they didn't feel the need turn that up, especially since they are naturally compared to the over the top lovey dovey Gaines, as evidenced in this thread.

All the couples on those shows are fake and annoying as all get out. I would be surprised if any of them stay married.
