Lol at some of these comments. I work as a baker in Cleveland TN (late shift) I don't do drugs I love what I do. And everything is made fresh but all the dough is pre-made.. We have to put into the proofer at a manageable time and then the aim happens. I bake and work on prep table and make everything perfect and yes at 5am it's an amazing smell.. When I get done I look at the set (all the baked goods I've done) an pat myself on the back! Yes I love my job! - Jason Barnes

I'm a Baker at the PR management franchise in MA. I bake at the Panera that competes for first in sales every week. I think they compensate me well, but you only get what you put into it. I'm willing to do favors and learn manager's preferences for things so they'll feel like being nice to me, and let it slide if I don't have a great night. I'm almost at our cap of $16.50/hr after 4 years. I know that doesn't sound like much, but that's for an entry-level job with no degree or prior certifications.

My girlfriend works on the retail side of another cafe, so I know the kind of shit the associates go through for less than $10/hr. I don't have to put up with customers. In fact, the only times I have spoken to customers, I've been lauded by the retail managers.

I work in a T-shirt after the store is closed. I can play whatever music I want at a more than reasonable volume. When everyone else leaves for the night, it's just me. There's a 3 page list of things I need to do, and that is the only direction I'm given. If you're into the idea of freestyling, this is it. They don't drug test because they know better. We're held to very high standards at work, so they don't really police our off time.

Awesome. It was a nice to hear that take on a normal rewarding job and not the typical dc high powered bs.

I will never eat there.

If you are not going to eat anywhere the staff does drugs you are going to miss out on a *lot* of restaurants, and not just casual ones.

Restaurants employ druggies like rice is white. Good luck in life!

I've worked in pubs and fine dining. Weed, coke, and pills galore.

Daily Drinker = alcoholic. So daily weed smoker = addict. addicted to a drug or addicted to alcohol it's the same accept our lungs were not made to inhale smoke but it was made to drink and a little alcohol metabolizes very quickly we were made to drink fluids.

It's not mean. I won't eat where my kid cooks either. And he's cooked at some prime places. Award winning.

No thank you. I'd rather eat my own cooking. At least I know it's clean and I won't get violently sick. Like some do.

$200 gets you a false health inspection.

No, addiction makes you an addict. USE no matter the frequency does not necessarily make you an addict.
