how do you dispose of dog waste?

Each time the dog poops, we pick it up in a ziplock bag, zip it shut, and put it in the step-can. Each time we take the kitchen trash out (3-4 times per week), we tie up the plastic poop bag and stick it in the kitchen trash bag, tie that up, then put it in the large outdoor can until trash day.

Sometimes when it's 100 degrees out, you might catch a whiff of the step-can since it's by the deck. So if we're having a cookout or party, we might move it to a more remote location. But we've never had a problem with flies.

Ziplocs are not biodegradable though.

+1. This is why I can't get a dog.

You know those yards that have the "no dog" sign, or the picture of the dog pooping and a line through it? I save up dog poop and sprinkle it around those signs.
