Assumption of white as the cultural norm, so less of a desire to stand up and be counted, assuming there are so many white that it won't matter if they don't chime in, less overall thought of or comfort with discussing race issues, etc. Any number of reasons.

Why would you assume that everyone on here is white? Haven't you been reading the posts? It's obvious to me that there is a pretty good representation of all races/ethnicities and locations. I've been on DCUM for 2 years and have a totally different assumption than you do.

I didn't find anything offensive or hateful about the term "Cone Head". Especially when used to describe oneself. The "Why the hate?" comment must have been extra sensitive today.
