Do I have to wear the hospital gown for delivery?

my god - you people are mean.

i had 2 natural births and the comfort of my clothing was pretty important. I wore loose cotton short nightgowns for both (neither got ruined). I labored at home in them and didn't want to change when I got to hospital, so I didn't. No big deal

how do you know what she's going to be thinking about?

several times during my second birth i thought of the fact that i was wearing normal clothes and that it felt nice, as compared to my first birth where i had worn a hospital gown. for many people it probably makes no difference, but i also really appreciated wearing my own clothes and i did think about it during labor and found that it made the whole thing seem more normal and okay.

everyone's different. seriously.

I wore an exercise bra (good amount of coverage) and then nothing below except for a swim wrap that I would wear when I walked around the room or to the bathrub for a soak. While actually delivering I didn't wear the wrap - at that point I didn't care. Was glad I had on the bra tho'.
