Ignore this person, OP. They are not getting that most of us want help with an outfit on occasion. Plus, they recommended high heels and jeans to an afternoon grill party. Or, frankly, high heels and jeans at all.

No activewear. Can you look at photos from past years? I would wear jeans and a slightly dressy top (a pretty cotton blouse, or something a little festive). Linen or similar pants if you don’t like jeans.

I think OP must be in her 50s, right? I'm not sure how great she will look in ripped jeans.

I can totally see fitted jeans that aren't ripped with ankle boots, and a great top.

DP. I love these, but don't think they are right for the person or the place. The oversized cuff makes them look really young.

I do like these, but I'm fearing wet grass, etc for sandals.
