Say what now?
This is a new.

Not if you have anything to do with education.

Brats who scream and rip stuff off the walls, throw books and desks, and so on. Their rights (in the Least Restrictive Environment) are apparently more important than the normal 99% other kids, who are forced to accept this trauma because kindness and diversity.

Is this a big Fox News talking point, or just a specific bee in your bonnet?

Branch into more brain dead propaganda like has been posted in this thread?

NP. How's NBC? What will your excuse be now? More fAkE nEwS?

The U.S. is conducting high-level discussions with China aimed at increasing the number of Chinese nationals deported from the United States, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said in an exclusive interview with NBC News.

Such an agreement would be a breakthrough in U.S.-China relations and American immigration policy. China has long been uncooperative with U.S. efforts to deport Chinese citizens back to their country, according to American officials.

In the last two years, that has become especially consequential as the number of migrants from China illegally crossing the U.S.-Mexico border has skyrocketed to the tens of thousands.

The talks come as the number of Chinese nationals crossing the U.S.-Mexico border without authorization has exploded. Customs and Border Protection logged over 24,000 such crossings in Fiscal Year 2023, up from just over 2,000 the prior year — a more than elevenfold increase. This is part of a larger surge in the number of migrants from all over the world making the dangerous journey to the U.S.’s southern border, which saw record-high illegal crossings in December.

How about CNN? More fAkE nEwS?

These arrivals are part of a staggering new trend. In the first 11 months of 2023, more than 31,000 Chinese citizens were picked up by law enforcement crossing illegally into the US from Mexico, government data shows – compared with an average of roughly 1,500 per year over the preceding decade.

These Chinese nationals join migrants from around the world whose numbers have overwhelmed the southwestern US border with illegal crossings in recent months.

100% this. And the recent spate of ignorant protesters has pushed me even farther.

NP. And you're willing to concede the rights of women to make decisions about their own healthcare? Or have you not been reading the horror stories (involving wanted pregnancies that turn dangerous) coming out of TX, FL, ID?
I'm far more concerned about the implications of Republican attacks on abortion (yes, even when the mother's life is at risk) and birth control than I am about a handful of trans kids in sports.

With all the crises happening under Biden, there is only so much time in a day to address them.....

Agree. These issues are still with us and are driving people like me to vote.

I was a dedicated Republican voter but it’s issues like these that have made me #walkaway from the Republican Party.

On the slim, outside chance that this is true, PP, then know that you are a unicorn.

NP. Yes I’m willing to concede that. No question about it.

I’m not the immediate PP above, but yes anyone who works in public schools will tell you that behavior-issue SN kids are a much bigger issue and more regular problem than a trans girl using the girls bathroom to pee. Thanks to vaping, the bathrooms are mostly locked anyway, which sucks, but not because of trans kids.

The Cass Report was released just two weeks ago and has already drastically changed the tone in Britain.

Not sure why you think the border and trans issues have disappeared. They're very real. You're just not paying attention because you don't want them to be an issue. So you're not a honest person starting a honest post.

Sure, but I’m wondering if Fox and similar outlets are talking about it?

If they got away, sounds like CPB needs more tools and manpower. Why did the GOP opposed that in rejecting the bipartisan bill?

We all know that any additional officers hired would be used to process more migrants coming in because this administration does not like the optics of masses of people entering. They aren't concerned with border security - they are concerned with optics.

Optics - that is precisely why Trump encouraged his allies to reject the bipartisan border bill - he didn't want Biden to get credit for any border legislation. That bill was spearheaded by James Lankford, one of the most conservative members of the Senate.

+1
It was essentially the GOP’s dream bill that in 2021 they didn’t get from Democratic opposition. They got what they wanted and… crapped in the bathtub for Trump.

So Biden can use executive action to gut title 9 but can’t figure out how to use it to close the border?

Yes, we know that abortion is your only issue and that you can't fathom anyone caring about anything but abortion. Voters will decide their states' abortion policies. It is not my top issue, nor that of many women I know. Right now, my top issues are the border disaster, crime, and support for Israel.

I take it you have never had a life-threatening pregnancy. Lucky you. Not everyone is that fortunate, and our ability to receive appropriate care in those situations shouldn't depend on whether or not we live in a state that views women only as incubators.

And if you think they'll stop trying to push a national ban, you are gravely mistaken.

Yes, having survived a life-threatening pregnancy due to the quick actions of my doctor, unencumbered by any legal concerns, you better believe that the GOP has turned me into a single issue voter, particularly when I look to the future in store for my own DDs.

Do continue obsessing over abortion on another thread. We’re discussing other issues here.
