Those are cute. But those aren't jeans -- they are twill. Twill pants in an ecru is a totally different question -- I think those work well for summer, assuming you don't have to sit on anything questionable (bus, subway, grass, bleachers at kids' school, picnic bench at park, etc.). Not nearly as hot or sticky as denim.
I'm also assuming all these posters have predictable periods and haven't hit the 40s/50s who-the-hell-knows-when-its-coming time.

I wear white jeans, but not as often as blue jeans. They are place specific though. I wouldn’t wear them and plan to sit in the grass.

What in the world is a “wine mom”?!

I like them for things like spring/summer brunch, outdoor parties (before it gets too hot), school functions, etc. And yes, I’m middle-aged, but I don’t drink wine. I also had a hysterectomy after the birth of my second DC, so no worries about unwelcome surprises.

I agree with this. Ecru was on trend last season, and I'd guess it will still be on trend next year, but not sure after that. I prefer to look reasonably on-trend, so I would pick ecru over white, but ecru is more of a passing trend than white is. And as a pear, I agree that light colored pants are tricky to style in a flattering way.

I love them but I mean not at a cook out or anything grass related. Not to go dirt biking or hiking. But Saturday mall run? Sure

No for me. The ones with stretch are the worst.

I prefer ecru jeans more but they get dirty easily and you can't bleach them.

For white I'd rather wear some wide leg pants in linen or lightweight cotton (ideally tailored and not the elasticized type, so that they don't look like beachwear).

I wear them all summer, although I spend the summer in New England and it's cool enough for jeans. Really not an issue with staining - they are washable.

I am a size 8, but wore them when I was a 12 too.

How is this a question? They are a summer staple.

Also, white is the easiest color for removing stains.

My DH laughs when he sees me gardening in white jeans. I see a weed and I go for it! Outfit be darned.

Yeah, I don't know why they're labeled twill. They are very heavy and quite stiff, like denim. I even bought them in the denim section of H&M but found them on the website with the twill label. Who knows.

Elastic waistband?? Oh- no.

Definitely a yay. I do get something on then every time I wear them, but it’s not because of my kids. Same for other white pants. I stay diligent about removing any stains right after I take them off before I was them. Otherwise, it sets the stain.
