Or is it 9th grade entrance only for independent schools and catholic high schools?

Bullis for sure admits students past 9th grade. I met two current students at their admitted students night who both entered in the 11th grade. One came from Einstein and I believe (not confirmed) was recruited as an athlete. The other came from SAES for more comprehensive STEM offerings. Very impressive kids, both of them.

What did the SAES family have to say about their SAES experience ?

We only spoke with the student who transferred. He said he enjoyed his time at SAES but he felt like Bullis had stronger STEM offerings for him and was confident in the switch. He’s attending an Ivy next year. This is a very particular kid who wants to do very particular things. Very impressive but I don’t know that it’s a commentary on either school.
