Hated by DCUM. Loved in the flyover and swing states. |
You’ve just described most MAGA GOP speech. Throw out out their buzzwords and hope they stick. It’s the firehouse of 💩 theory. |
This is my take. I more or less agreed with everything she said and I also liked that she had the confidence to sit in a kitchen (which I read as an act of defiance against the constant attack from the left on femininity). But, she seemed like she was very nervous and had trouble regulating her breath, tone, and delivery, and that detracted from her message. |
So they really decided to go full in on the trad wife role for women huh?. |
Dems are motivated by Hope, but reps are motivated by Fear...... |
Of course she leads with the border, GOP have done NOTHING to reduce costs. Remember they ran on that in 2022?? So they go to their Greatest Hit - The Border!!
Do most families sit around the kitchen table and worry about the border? I thought they worried about higher costs, healthcare, their kids getting a good education, child care. I mean, this is fine for MAGA base but it’s not persuasive, at all. Not just the delivery, but the “substance.” |
That's a nice thought. Not sure how accurate it is. In general, it used to be the other way around. Both sides have lost their way but one more than the other. |
Why are these always so weird? And they keep getting weirder. I know it's been mentioned already but it's like something from SNL or The Onion. It's soooo strange. |
It was all so incredibly staged, from the kitchen to the prominent cross to the put upon near-tears.
I really wish these so-called “trad wives” would just go back to the kitchen and shut up already. I find the whole “women’s highest place is in the home, but not for me, I’m a Senator” thing to be really off putting. We get it, you’re #notlikeothergirls, Katie. Most other girls wouldn’t use their position of power to oppress their sisters. |
Is that how this horror show is being spun? I guess it makes sense to capture all the red states and swing states in the analysis pulled from your *ss. |
It's certainly a topic of conversation at my house, and I assume others. This is impacting many people's lives-and yes, it affects families' healthcare, education, etc. When that rec center in Roxbury, Mass closed to kids so it could house "migrants" you don't think that had an effect on any families? |
She is a Hill veteran before moving back to Alabama to run for office. She is hardly a "trad wife" - it is all performative. |
Exactly. She’s a hustler and she works outside the home and always has. She’s decided the “trad wife” lifestyle is a waste for her and wants power. No shame in it - I’ve decided my best and highest calling is outside the home, too. My kids would agree. The shame is the fact that she can’t own what she is. It’s all so…whorish. |
Many people (both men and women) find more fulfillment in their families than in work. When a man says that their family is the most important thing, no one thinks anything of it. When a woman does, people ridicule her as a trad wife. It's fine (and in my opinion, good and healthy) to value your family more than your career. |
There’s a ton of MAGAs that hated it. |
