Stone Ridge cares about athletics, Visi does not. It’s not the AD’s fault. The Head of school sets the culture.

Interesting….as a parent of an 8th grader who loves lacrosse, this is good to know. Where does Holy Child fit in?

I'm not even sure Holy Child even has a coach currently. They fired their last one a few months back due to the treatment of the girls and how she spoke to them.

It was one girl, who did not have the skills to be on any varsity team in the ISL and who was a toxic influence.

Ok so let me make sure I get what you are saying here correct. You are saying because it was only "one girl" it makes that type of treatment appropriate?

She didn't liked being coached, wouldn't put in the necessary work to be able to compete at this level, complained to her parents who are large donors, and essentially had her fired. It's my understanding that the rest of the team fully supported the coach and not this divisive student.

I’m sure you are also aware that this same coach had an entire club team that she coached leave partly because of this same behavior towards them as well as her lack of attendance. So really is it just the “one girl” or the coach?

No it was the one girl. She was only on the team because they didn't want to cut a senior and she would do things like invite the team to a party but exclude two or three, that sort of nonsense. And we know several players on the MCE 26 team and they seem to love playing for her.

Does anyone know when Holy Childs Head coach announcement is rumored to be?

No dog in this fight. But this should not have been written. Hopefully DCUM takes it down. Way too personal and mean. The posts about the player in question were also horrible. People should stop.

The coach mentioned above is also PSG at holy cross. Low probability she coaches any any area privates in the near future.

That may be true, but I don't remember seeing too many Stone Ridge topics posted here.

Stability is important, SR has had that. Not saying everyone loves the coach, but you know what you are getting into and there's a culture/set of norms there. Visi as well as some other schools seem to have a revolving door coach-wise in lax and that's never good. The question is why? Head of school sets the tone for the culture of the school, but ultimately the AD is in charge of bringing in (and keeping) the right people.

I don’t believe the previous Holy Child head coach had anything to do with Holy Cross previously.

I think SR HOS is clever- using athletics as a marketing tool to attract students to SR. Not sure this means SR cares about athletics.

Just as an FYI The current 2026 team is now her second team a couple years ago her entire 26 team left and now the same exact thing just happened this past season with the 2030 team she coaches.
