I think that's too limited a view. There's nothing wrong with being LGBTQIA+ (not that you were implying that there was) but a lot of Republicans are also pedophiles, domestic abusers and rapists.

The folks who do this - I think they just suppress their sexuality because their desire to grift off the conservative outrage machine is just so huge. Essentially, they deny their fundamental self for money and power. The truth is this usually only comes out when the person in question lacks the power to kill the story. Or the victim is particularly strong minded/has great support.

He’s got a prominent conservative wife and 5 daughters. The stakes are really high for his family.

Schlapp has yet to address this personally. Seems to be avoiding a lawsuit for defamation if he calls the accuser a liar.
