where to meet cool moms?

Anonymous
My friend and I were trying to figure out where we could meet other moms like us, and I thought I would throw it out here to see if anyone has any ideas. We are looking for extroverted, preppy, upper middle class, educated young ish (late 20s early 30s) moms of babies in the 8-13 month age range in Northern Va, who either stay at home or work part time. We like shopping, frequent happy hours/play dates (especially if they are themed), and friends who aren't judgmental about giving our children an occasional taste of frozen yogurt (we love frozen yogurt too ). Where do we go to find these people?? Gymboree is not cutting it, and neither is the neighborhood moms group.

wow - that's quite a definition of "cool moms". Not the adjective I'd use.

Let me know when you did out so I can be sure to avoid you.

Troll post. Educated women don't have babies in their 20s.

What the hell is a themed playdate? I'm having flashbacks to the themed keg parties we used to have in college. Do dress up your toddler in 70s clothes??!

It all depends on how many problems you want to deal with.

Hahahaha. Hilarious. The most educated woman I know - partner track, international scholar, etc. was the 1st of my friends to have kids, we are all starting and by 35 she will have a 7-8 year old. I'm an older starter myself, but not everyone wants to be a granny mom!
