The same reason is was common here, I suppose. They have an image of who should hold a particular job. Man, woman, married, etc. Our ads used to specify race, too, remember. |

Wow, you really do not know the answer to that question. Frankly, I prefer this approach - in the US employers pretend that they do not care about the looks of a "front of the house" employee but yet you never see an unattractive person in those jobs. |

Really, you guys are surprised? How can you not notice such bias here in the US? Ever saw a middle aged person working at Abercrombie? How about most of the modeling jobs in the US, you never noticed any bias?
Just STFU about women being treated like an object in only middle eastern countries. Women are treated like shit everywhere. It's just that US women have their heads buried deep in the sand and can't think for themselves. |
