Are we even going to have long course season now that rmsc doesn’t have a long course pool? (Besides outdoors at Rockville)

They could always go back to fairland.

The KSAC swimmers practice at the Bethesda outdoor pool (LC) once school is out.

Last summer we swam at KSAC. Depends on the group. It hasn't bee announced this year. I would be nice if they did as no way we can go to Bethesda.

Some groups will be going there for at least some of their practices over the summer - this is the same as they have done in years past as well - they would be doing this even if KSAC weren't closing.

our diving lessons move to ssrac for two weeks. are swimmers still practicing at KSAC?

Open for practice in the lanes today. Well is closed.

You do have to wonder how much money they may want to throw at any given issue that might come up at this point given that it'll be closing for renovations in a couple of months...

I am super skeptical they will repair and reopen the diving well, but I would love to be wrong. I assume the notice about 1-2 weeks cancellation was to give them time to come up with a plan for relocating the divers.

The repairs are supposed to happen this weekend.

There’s a LC meet scheduled for KSAC next weekend.

My kids Monday practice has been combined with another site so repairs can be made

I'm assuming they will just do other meets, or host at another pool. There are only 2.

Anyone know if the repairs actually got completed?

Not sure what the issue was, but the rmsc juniors and another group had regular practice there today and all sections of the pool appeared open.

Were the divers actually back using the well?

KSAC is closing in late June, following the LC meets on the schedule.

The affected group today (NTG) uses the deep lanes. We were told it’s fixed and back to normal Tuesday. I assume this also means the actual diving well too.

Yes, there were divers using the well last night. There's an LC meet there this weekend and lets hope the whole facility can stay patched together w/o to much trouble for this final month and a half!

I think the PP was asking about 2025 (and likely 2026).
