Mueller is not impeaching Trump. He is investigating crime, and if those crimes involve the president, then it will be Congress's responsibility to respond, or the president could step down. |
I like this post. Make a statement, put it out there, even though it's totally contradicted by reality. Ballsy. Fake. |
You seem simple minded - like most liberals - incapable of the big picture. The Democrats and Fusion GPS paid for a fake dossier to take away from the Uranium One scandal. Why might you ask? The Russians have tins to gain by Hillary winning. She’s corrupt, a liar and was benefiting by using the State Dept to fill her coffers. She’s easily corrupted and the Russians zeroed in on her bigly...she’s an easy mark. Whoever released the documents and the info on the deal have more or less cut off the Russians ability to put their tentacles into the government. Anyone tied to Russ A in the Trump campaign was ousted. Podesta and the like are still free. My guess, Podesta and company along with Manafort will be there in front of Muller. Hillary will fall. |
Trump can’t fire Mueller directly. He can order Rosenstain to fire Mueller, and fire him if he does not. But the Statute says Mueller can only be fired by Rosenstein, and only for cause, and in writing. If Mueller was fired. He could, and likely would, ask a Court to enjoin the firing as not for good cause. And Mueller would likely win. So the end result may well be that he cannot be fired. |
Yes. In fact, he can issue pardons now for crimes they might have committed. But, there is a wrinkle. If you accept a pardon you are admitting you committed the crime for which you are being pardoned. And that can be used as evidence of guilt if you are tried by the state for a crime with all of some of the elements of the federal crime. . So you could actually end up in a worse situation, depending on what your federal crime is. And realistically, if you care going to serve time, you want Club Fed, not the sate penitentiary. So, the pardon can happen. But it might be a bad idea. If it were me, I would make the Feds convict me before I took a pardon and admitted guilt. |
Or Trump could be charged once he leaves office. |
Agreed. |
President is not confident. Please. Does being a Never Trumper make me a liberal? Curious logic you have there. |
Interesting thread. Educating even. Seems we have some DCUM posters with great knowledge. If only they might preface their experience (anonymously of course). This would lend credibility.
Who know who we have posting here! Thanks Jeff and al. for offering such to the Washington DC Metropolitan area. |
Trump would have to get Senate confirmation for that "someone else." |
Sure, it all makes sense if you get to make up facts. But the fact is that we know the Russians celebrated Trump's victory. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/01/06/russian-officials-celebrated-donald-trumps-victory-geopolitical/ |
CNN reporting makes it sound like there will be multiple arrests Monday. If so Donald the Dotard of Cofveve will do something drastic. |
I hope CNN are not getting ahead of themselves. |
Like nuke N. Korea? |
What's so great is that there are so many crooks, shady characters, and unregistered foreign agents in Trump's orbit,, we have no idea who is going to be indicted. The target list is ridiculously long! |
