I agree Joan got very little screen time. On the other hand, we didn't know Gerry at all before the series started, so I don't know if that's a problem; also it doesn't sound like they've decided yet. But yeah, it seems like a problem, because even if they're all just in the running, it would make sense to push them equally. |
ASKN on the rocks, apparently April is out and has been unfriended on social media by the others. Oh well, so much for the older women modeling good behavior! |
I don't know if that's true. But if ot turns out to be the reason she didn't go with the others to St. Martin...it's no surprise. April is not the kind of woman who plays nice. She HAS to be the center of attention ...and that probably gets old after awhile. You can tell that Nancy is a good person. Susan is a good person. Joan is a good person. Ellen is a good person. April....well...she's not like the others.

I don’t remember seeing April engage in any not-nice behavior. She’s just a bit of a kook. |
She's too kooky and attention-seeking to be the next bachelorette, IMO. |
Oh, for sure. |
So, did they get married yet? |
We don't know these women at all. |
DP. Joan and Edith were my favorites too. But I think it is because I thought they were the prettiest. |
He was in love with Leslie until he, after many weeks, decided to finally ask Theresa what she did for a living. When he found out, he suddenly declared his love for her. Also, he and his wife buy an expensive lake house and she’s ends up dead a month later? How much was she insured for? I know it sounds crazy, but he seems just that creepy to me! |
You're crazy. He wasn't in love with Leslie. She was fun in bits and pieces. Small doses. Spending an overnight with her had to have been exhausting. She has the emotional maturity of a 16 year old girl. No man in his right mind would be with someone like that; her past choices caught up with her |
NP. He seemed 100% not into Theresa until she discussed her career over dinner. Suddenly he was interested again. I'm not even going to shade him for that. Financially compatibility and lifestyle objectives are important issues for a couple to discuss. We know from his ex's account that he is not interested in supporting a partner, and Leslie might not have had much to bring to the table financially. His poor wife was the steady worker and therefore breadwinner by default. That's what he's used to. I don't think that's the entire story--my guess is that Theresa pleasantly surprised him physically as well (enthusiasm etc.) and that they just clicked overall in a way that made more sense to him in the end. But I've also never gotten the vibe that he's head over heels in love with Theresa. I think he likes her and she made the most sense. She found him handsome and nice and was thrilled to be chosen. I hope they can be good and devoted companions to each other. |
100 % agree about the part he was never into Teresa until she told him what she did. The look in his eyes was like $$$$$$$ Think his wife got ill. Don’t think it has to do with insurance |
I dislike that the show hyped up his career/wealth to match his appearance and make him more attractive. It's pretty clear from the old cheesy tattoo, motorcycles, maintenance man job that he's more of a working class guy, which is all fine and good but not if it's deceptively hidden. I also noticed the spark in his eye when he found out about Theresa's job and wealth. It was SO obvious that it swayed him. I really hope her family had her sign a very good prenup. |
+1. He seemed in love with Faith until she decided she couldn’t leave her dead horse (for Gerry, she later clarified she was willing to move but it’s not clear under what circumstances. It looked like Faith was gently dumping him. Anyway, he cried when Faith said no. I know he cried a lot, but usually it was because he didn’t want to hurt anybody, and this is the only relationship I can think of where he cried because it was over by someone else’s choice. Then he has to choose between Theresa and Leslie. I agree he didn’t seem like a Leslie kind of guy, apart from some fun in the sack. |
