They need to stay within 7 of Coppermine to keep in the Top 40 most likely. Pride looking strong at #8. NGLL Mid Atlantic is definitely toughest division in the country with 5 of the top 8 teams and then another 5 in the top 40

Pride is a very good team and they are playing excellent lacrosse at the right time. It will be fun to watch them in the playoffs.

I predict Crush will beat CCLax by 7 AND M&D Black will only get credit for 10 against MC Elite So, the breaking news next Friday will be Crush rising above M&D Black in the rankings by a hair.

Crush should be ahead of M&D with their recent win. M&D will continue to fall in the rankings as the summmer progresses.

It’s just math. There’s no “should be”. It is what it is.

Agree it's simply math. Coppermine "should" be ranked #1, but they are #3. A short game fall tourney loss to Hero's not enough to knock them down, and they have beaten Eagle Stix the last two times they have played as well. BUT, they have played MC Elite now, and their overall strength of schedule is lower. All will be addressed by the first or second tourney and math and eye test align.

No, it will all be addressed by the first tourney Coppermine hater.

You may need to explain your “point” a bit. The post you commented on suggests that Coppermine “should” really still be #1, but that’s not how the rankings work.

I think you need a lesson in sarcasm.

Final was MDU 7, M&D Red 5. MDU was probably hoping for a more convincing win to build back their confidence. But you have to give it to M&D Red for continuing to outperform. I would love to see them play against Stars and Pride. I suspect they would beat one or both of those teams the way they are playing recently.

M&D Red would get smoked by Pride. Not even close.

Yet they didn’t smoke MDU the week prior, so not sure what makes you say that.

Pride beat MDU by 1 goal, so what makes you so certain they would “smoke” M&D Red. Pride is a solid team, but they have yet to beat a top team and MDU is no longer a top team. They are the 5th or 6th best MD team right now after Coppermine, Heros, M&D Black, Crush and maybe Skywalkers.

No disrespect, but there are a whole bunch of teams who would smoke M&D Red despite not having beat a top team.
