2028 Girls Lacrosse

They're currently ranked 21. I'm sure they have a few great players, and it's good place to play. You can get to any college from there if you have the talent. "Juice with the coaches" is overrated. It matters, just not as much as several posters seem to think.

Relationships with D1 coaches absolutely matters. Daughter played on Capital. Team was ranked in the mid teens. Didn't matter. The recruiting operation was impressive. The recruiting director there knows everyone. Players, including mine, committed to high D1 lax programs.

And they will all be vying for the same schools. Where they will go will depend on what club has the most juice with coaches, not which team has the best record.

Sky Walkers is ranked 21st. Got up to 9th last July, but did not sustain.

I believe the context was what clubs to try and play for in high school to enhance chances for recruiting success. No one suggested that 2028s are a focus this year.

What are people's thoughts on the Copperplex? I find it to be a horrible location, and the logistics are terrible. No parking. No place for spectators. Refs don't seem to know which lines are out.

Absolutely hate it. Was hopeful it would be a potential site for tournaments but after experiencing it not a chance in hell.

Worked out okay for an 0800 game with parking available. Google Maps has no idea where it is and sends you into a local neighborhood. Didn't have an issue spectating, but agree the lines were confusing.

Agreed. Pain in the ass to get to, terrible parking, one crappy vendor with a line a mile long. Awful.

Copperplex was brutal if you had 11am game, not sure those kids got to field on time, was one way in and out, took 30 min to exit

Awful! Took me 35 minutes to get out of the parking lot. And not much under that to find a spot in the first place. Can’t believe they didn’t think that through. Also, took me two hours to get back to Montgomery county due to traffic. I was in the car three times as long as it took to play the game

Data guy. If the club rankings get updated today will that change any of your predictions?

I don't think so. I generally assess first based on recent results, eye test, and general ranking, and then check the expected goal differential on US Club Lax as a sanity check. My predictions are usually within a couple of goals of US Club Lax, but not exactly the same.

Understudy here. I will post the official lines when the new rankings/ratings come out. I will plan to open the secret backroom sportsbook at Vienna Inn for betting from 4pm-6pm.

The Inn got shut down and raided. The mobile sportsbook inn is where it's at these days.

New rankings out. MDU East falls to 13 after the losses last weekend. Not much movement on other teams. Stars moved up to 37 from 39. They need to stay within 7 of Coppermine to keep in the Top 40 most likely. Pride looking strong at #8. NGLL Mid Atlantic is definitely toughest division in the country with 5 of the top 8 teams and then another 5 in the top 40
