Where is this perfect world where the contraction of 2020 didn’t have an effect on the economy? I’d like to visit it. This was the best case scenario. Check out the impact on other countries. |
Yeah, those policies that brought record high oil production, the most produced by any country ever. How terrible of him! Next thing you know he will give us record high manufacturing production and the longest streak of low unemployment in decades. Wait, that already is happening, Biden and his silly policies that actually make an impact. Should have been like the last guy and pass no major policies other then a tax cut for the rich…so terrible! |
I guess that $7 never happened and doesn’t look like it’s going to happen anytime soon. Here is the real data:
|
Gas prices have basically hung around $2.75-$3.50 adjusted for inflation for the last 8 years. Other than the COVID dip, and the start of the Russian war spike. It seems after shocks, within months supply adjusts and moderates the price back to about $3. Looks like a healthy worldwide market, with US presidents only having a minimal effect. Biden has been really smart with his use and now refilling of the SPR to smooth the spike and now drop (all while making a profit). |
Oil prices on the market continue to fall.
US oil production continues to historic levels. https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/oil-prices-fall-extend-slide-after-opec-cuts-underwhelm-2023-12-01/ Yet the Republicans continue to lie about all of this. |
And the media will happily carry water for the GOP. |
We do not have an affordable or built out infrastructure to carry this out in most of the country. You must be very privileged. |
It's not about "privilege." Frankly it's pretty damn sad that even China is leapfrogging the US with things like high speed rail. And it's happening because Republicans block progress and infrastructure investments. They want government so small you could drown it in a bathtub. They have some deranged and delusional vision of wanting things to be exactly the way they were in 1783 when the Constitution was penned. Yet at the same time they don't seem to understand that would literally put us back to donkey carts on dirt roads. |
It's been almost two years since your prophecy and gas isn't even close to $7/gallon. Don't quit your day job because you are a dismal failure as a prognosticator. |
Yes, pretty embarrassing OP!
In the words of the late, great Matthew Perry, could you BE more wrong? |
Hey OP, how’s it going? Prices look like they’re coming down, again.
I bet you guys are going to run around sticking “I did that” stickers on the pumps again, for sure, right? |
This is a great example of why the GOP and their media ride so hard on Biden being old: because Donald’s brain is turning to stewed prunes. |
He never fills a tank of gas. He has no idea what’s going on in the real world. He just lives in his bubble where he never has interact with real people. |
Yup. 29 states have gas prices averaging $2.99 or less and the median U.S. price is now $2.93/gallon according to Patrick DeHaan of GasBuddy. |
