$7/gallon gas is coming

Thanks, Putin.

Biden administration wanted less domestic energy production and distribution.

We got it.

How else are we going to get flyover country to give up their smelly trucks?

They may think twice before rolling coal.

Cause for celebration- I would like to see $10/gas. I walk and bike nearly everywhere.

Which has zero impact on the gallon of gas for a car cost. That is pegged to the global market.

People really do not understand OPEC and markets, do they? I can't tell if they are being deliberately obtuse to score a cheap political point or if they really are this uninformed.

First, "Domestic natural gas production increased in recent years
The United States produces most of the natural gas that it consumes. Annual U.S. dry natural gas production generally increased from 2005 through 2019, and U.S. natural gas prices generally decreased during the same period and have been less volatile since 2010." https://www.eia.gov/energyexplained/natural-gas/factors-affecting-natural-gas-prices.php

BUT no matter how much we produce, the price of gas is absolutely determined by OPEC ftmp. Read this to better understand: "Why Are Oil Prices So High When The U.S. Remains One Of The World’s Largest Producers?"https://www.forbes.com/sites/daneberhart/2021/11/13/why-are-oil-prices-so-high-when-the-us-remains-one-of-the-worlds-largest-producers/?sh=218cc1cddfce

Biden's policies are such a small part of the overall issue.

Have you ever been to the midwest, pp? Have you ever visited rural America?
Do you understand that it is not possible for everyone to bike and walk everywhere?
Do you understand that the farmers that grow your food and raise your crops need fuel for their farm equipment?

You are just clueless.

Yeah, because your average household making $65k can afford a $50k car. A car that has all sorts of phantom braking problems recently too. Get out of your insane echo chamber.

The average car bought by Americans in 2021 cost $47K.

They can afford an electric vehicle, they just instead choose to buy large vehicles. Those large pickup trucks you see on the road often start at $50K and go A LOT higher once you add a few bells & whistles.

And, ALL vehicles are even more expensive now, thanks to inflation.
Used cars up 40%.
Thanks, Biden.

Vertical gardens give us access to fresh produce in the areas where we live.

The Midwest can and should be re-wilded.

Used car prices are up because the big car rental companies have been hanging on to their fleets longer, because fewer people are putting mileage on them. That's not Biden's fault.

So we just give farmers gas subsidies, and make the vast majority of people, who are in urban areas, use mass transit or buy a Chevy Volt($33k)

Except all.of the crap you buy at target needs to be shipped and transported. All of your food needs to be transported. It will make food prices skyrocket.

What an idiot living in a bubble you are. Hundreds of millions of people do not live in cities either.

What a simplistic clueless response.
Your "solution" does nothing for the millions of rural residents who need to drive 10+ miles to the grocery store or 30+ miles to a doctor's office or hospital.
I believe some of you urban dwellers have never stepped outside a city.

We had almost $150/barrel oil in 2008 and the price of gas never reached $7/gallon.
