| Realize everyone is different, just curious. For 1st pregnancy how long did it take from 1 cm dilated until labor started? |
| 4 weeks. |
|
						Days, weeks. Totally depends!
Generally, for first time moms, it takes the longest to get from 1-5cm and things tend to pick up after that. |
| Took me 10 days with first. With second, it took a week and then my water broke. |
| I was at 3 cm at 36 wks. Delivered on my due date. |
| 4 weeks for me as well. However, at my 39 week appointment was "1-2" cm and delivered the next day. |
| I was 0cm at the start of induction. Baby born 5 hours later. |
| 3-4 weeks |

| 4 weeks. |
| Was one centimeter at 36 weeks (fist time I was checked--may have been even earlier) and never went into labor or progressed beyond that. Was still 1 centimeter when induced week a with after my due date and ended up with a c-section. One centimeter is so super meaningless. Also have a friend who was not dilated at all at a late morning OB appointment and went into labor in the middle of that night. Baby was breach so she had a c-section but when she got to the hospital, she was already 6 centimeters. |
| 1 cm on Tuesday, water broke on Friday. |
| I was 0 cm at my 39 week appointment. Water broke the very next morning, bright and early, and I was not even actually in labor. Was 1 cm when I got to the hospital, baby born 17 hours after water ruptured. |

with first pregnancy, i was 0cm at 41 weeks 5 days, then went into labor the next day. not sure when i was 1 - probably not until labor started.
with second pregnancy, i never got checked, either during pregnancy or birth (which was fantastic), so i'm not sure. |
