Blockbuster NY Times Investigation - Trump's Tax Schemes To Gain Riches From His Father

Did you read the article? It was downright tax fraud - from corrupt appraisals to greenmailing to inflate stock prices, among other crimes. All illegal. I suspect you didn't bother to read it before you posted here.

They won't even click on the NY Times piece because it's "fake news." And yet they continue to demand for Hillary's missing emails and cry that the Clinton Foundation is corrupt. Give me a fricken break. In the meantime, while they are all cheering that Brett K is on the bench, Mueller and the SDNY are quietly working away at putting Trump and his criminal kids away.

That's such an empty threat -- because of the substance of the story, discovery in that lawsuit would be a colonoscopy of Trump's finances.

Haven't seen yet if anyone else applauded your metaphor--but yeah!

"Instead All County siphoned millions of dollars from Fred Trump’s empire by simply marking up purchases already made by his employees. Those millions, effectively untaxed gifts, then flowed to All County’s owners — Donald Trump, his siblings and a cousin. Fred Trump then used the padded All County receipts to justify bigger rent increases for thousands of tenants."

I honestly don't understand what was going on here. I'm guessing the bigger rent increases may have had to do with rent control or housing subsidies, but I don't entirely understand the other part. "Purchases already made" -- so Fred Trump, Inc, has employees who order a $5000 boiler for a building. Fred Trump, Inc. pays for the boiler? Or does All Country pay? Who pays the actual price and who pays the markup? Sorry, if I had studied finance or accounting I might understand this concretely (which I really want to do) but would love for someone to walk me through it.

So, having asked, I pulled it up (haven't exceeded my free NYT articles yet). My hunch about rent control and subsidies was right, and understand who billed whom.

I would think it brazen to actually bait the IRS (the valuations), but I guess it works for a certain kind of "taxpayer".

The NY State Attorney General filed against Trump last Wednesday for his fraudulent charity. He used it as a checkbook. I have little doubt she will go after him for his tax fraud too. Here's the papers: https://ag.ny.gov/sites/default/files/2018_the_people_of_the_stat_v_the_people_of_the_stat_memorandum_9._.pdf

Bumping this up so that it stays high on first page.

This has to be constantly in the news until Trump's fraudulent ways are discussed in every household.

All Country was inflating the invoices - lying about the actual costs of products and services purchased. They did this in order to increase their actual expenses for supplies for their buildings. The higher their expenses, the more they could increase their rents. Rental control rules, and the amount you get in government subsidies and loans to run these apt buildings are based on these types of expenses. You can justify higher rents if your expenses are at a certain level.

Also by inflating the invoices for All Country, their tax liability was lower - higher expenses (while a lie) lowers your profits, thus lowering the amount you pay to the IRS.

It was a total tax and government defrauding scheme - totally illegal.

My bet is Donald Trump continues these fraudulent schemes in his business today.

His main business is licensing his name for developers to build and getting Russian "investors" to wash their money through in the form of front end investments and back end purchases.

Trump makes money on both ends of the deal, the Russians can wash their money and others not part of the scheme are left holding the bag. Except in Baku, where the money from the Iranain Guard was washed, against sanctions.

Trump has been a financial fraud his whole life.

Rs, please close your eyes and imagine if this article had been published about Hilary Clinton or Barack Obama. How would you feel and what would you think would be appropriate next steps?

Don't you mean Hilary Clinton or Barak Obamas Father? Why do you leave out the fact that it was his Father that did it, not him?

You've just revealed that you either did not read the articles and supporting documents or you have poor comprehension skills. Donnie produced lots of the documents and signed them. How about when he tried to change his ailing father's will and his father and siblings caught him? What say you?
