From what I saw, Baltimore county schools have graduations at Towson, and most of the PG HS schools are in the Xfinity Center arena from UMD or the Show Place Arena.

So you're saying pretty much that most of the high schools from neighboring counties have a place to graduate that's in their county, mean while half of the schools in our county are out of the county or further away, smh.

What about the Soccerplex stadium? Has that ever been looked into?

3,200 seats. DAR has 3,702. UMBC has 4,000. Xfinity (UMD) has 17,950.

The Soccerplex stadium has 3,200 seats in the bowl surrounding the field, but an overall capacity of 5,000.

The graduates have to sit somewhere too...

Right. In chairs set up on the field so they could easily access the stage.

This is the one that's outside. Field 11.

"The field sits low in a bowl-like stadium and is surrounded by 3,200 hard seats, with an overall capacity of 5,000."

There is no such thing as middle school graduation. There is such a thing as high school graduation. Also, I disagree with your assessment.

I'm not the poster who wrote graduation. Ok so, Promotion. Whatever. Those MS seem as long, have speakers, speeches, students' names called, sure seems like a "graduation." They even have promotion from ES to MS.

Soccerplex, then wine at the local vineyards for your guests.

Someone's comparing indoor seating at UMBC to outdoor stadium seating? How idiotic.

Need an INDOOR venue in MoCo! Surprising there isn't one large enough to hold graduation sized events.

It is not too late for you to move.

Hey, at least you aren't moving to the city-area of Baltimore at least.

I would totally skip it. I have a junior and they don’t want to go. MCPS is embarrassing

MCPS absolutely needs to build a venue to host graduations and dances. The amount spent renting facilities would easily cover it in just a few years.

That’a absurd. Have you really thought about how big Montgomery county is and how many HSs there are?

Who in the right mind would risk their lives there anyways? Lol.

I know right. They would rather risk their lives in DC. LOL

UMBC is pretty big and empty, but I guess that's because the graduation location is a basketball arena.

Be happy you are almost done. It's not in your county but you are having a ceremony nonetheless.

If you've known MCPS graduations for a long time, point out to the Strathmore Music Center too.
