Should be Chantilly over S'Lakes, as Tilly beat them and S'Lakes still plays Madison next week. Coach Counts and all of her out of district prep dicked up the schedules a tad.

Madison should roll all over South Lakes by 10 or so and final Concord standings will look like ..

1) Madison
2) Westfield
3) Oakton
4) Chantilly
5) South Lakes
6) Centreville

I will take South Lakes (JMaddy.com) getting +10 versus Madison all day long. I'd put a dime on that.

SL vs Madison should be a good match up. Both teams play physical and were nose to nose last year during competition. Madison has been struggling possessing draw controls this season so if SL can win half or more of the draws it can be in their favor. Good luck to both teams!

SL parents will eff it up for them, they cannot take losing. It's embarrassing, and annoying as hell that they force us to the same stands with them b/c of the baseball field.

The latest Fanlax poll agrees that there is a distance between Madison and South Lakes...

The Poll is Back!

It’s been a little while as we have been waiting for the sponsor checks to clear. But it is all good now and as the season comes down the stretch, it’s time for another BuckyLou McDonald’s Quarter Pounder Fanlax Class 6 Top 15 poll:

1) Yorktown (11-1) – The Pats are rolling this year and eyeing a second title in 3 years. If they can pull it off, maybe Arlington Public Schools will give them their own facility rather than continuing to play at Greenbrier County Park. After all, June lacrosse conflicts with family reunion season. Key win(s): Woodson, Madison, Langley

2) West Potomac (11-2) – Winners of 9 straight, the Wolverines rolled through a trap game at West Springfield last week and await a showdown for the Patriot District’s top seed vs Woodson in the regular season finale this week. Key wins: Robinson, Battlefield, Westfield.

3) Robinson (10-3) – Were rolling on their way back to the top spot with wins over Yorktown and Madison until those pesky district games with WestPo and Woodson got in the way. Having been taking it out on the bottom half of the district since. Key wins: Yorktown, Madison, Battlefield.

4) Madison (6-6) - The Warhawks have played the toughest SoS in Class 6 with mixed results. Coach Counts is hoping it pays off come the postseason. Key wins: West Potomac, Westfield, Oakton.

5) Langley (10-2) – Under the radar a bit after getting rolled by Yorktown, but they’ve showed the ability to bounce back before. Key wins: Robinson, Woodson, Battlefield.

6) Woodson (8-5) – The Cavs are 8-1 after an 0-4 start and joy has returned to the Pat. Await a showdown for the top spot in the Patriot vs WestPo in the regular season finale. Don’t count them out as Coach Schneider has not lost to a non-Robinson district foe in his tenure. Key wins: Robinson, Lake Braddock

7) Battlefield (7-5)– Like Madison they’ve had mixed results on a tough schedule. Good thing they remain in district and region here on out. Key wins: Woodson, Patriot

8) South Lakes (10-3) – The Seahawks have busted out of a mini-slump in their last 3 and have showdown with Madison for control in the Concorde District in the regular season finale. Key wins: West Potomac, Westfield

9) Westfield (10-4) – The regular season body of work is done for the Bulldogs as they await the Concorde District tournament. Key wins: Woodson, Oakton

10) Oakton (8-6) – The regular season is done for the defending champs as well and they didn’t fall off a cliff as some thought. They will be a feisty underdog come postseason play. Key wins: Woodson, South Lakes

11) Cosby (6-1) – The Huxtables have a lot back from their Region A championship last year and should be back in the final 8 again this year. Key wins: James River

12) Justice (8-1) – The Sheriffs continue to run away with the National District with their only loss to Yorktown, just as many top teams have done. Real test will come in Region C playoffs. Key wins: Edison, Falls Church.

13) McLean (6-5) – The Highlanders have wrapped the regular season with the #3 seed in the Liberty District and continue to be on the rise. Key wins: Chantilly, Alexandria

14) Lake Braddock (7-5) – Coach Chen has already moved up the list of top coaches in the Patriot District, turning around the bad luck bears to a top 4 seed in the Patriot District and eyeing a spot in Regionals. Key wins: Chantilly, Patriot, West Springfield.

15) Patriot (8-4) – Eyeing the second bid to states out of Region B, the Pioneers have overcome the graduation of one of the state’s top goalies last year to remain in the Region B mix this year. Key wins: Colgan, Freedom South Riding.

Also considered: Chantilly, Mountain View, West Springfield

Oakton played Madison close into the 3rd quarter but just too much talent on the Warhawks. Expect a similar outcome as Madison pulls out a 14-9 win down the stretch unless the Seahawks have something up their sleeve as they did keep both games close down to the wire last year.

You are an idiot. He is not rude or inconsiderate and doesn’t say anything negative about coaches or players. And he knows quite a lot about lacrosse having played at Penn Stare and coached youth lacrosse for 12+ years. Apparently you don’t know anything about lacrosse.
