The nature of securing fields is fluid for most clubs across the Northern Virginia region due to the processes in place for requesting and assigning public fields for use. At this time most clubs do not have certainty regarding the exact fields where their teams will be practicing.

Both current and past FCV parents, players, and coaches are welcome to contact FCV with any questions they have about FCV. FCV is very excited to welcome several new coaches to the FCV organization next season and look forward to serving our core mission to focus on our players and their long term successes both on and off the pitch.

Maybe for the lower level teams across the ECNL/GA clubs in the area, but the top teams at all the other clubs have permanent/turf homes. Just not FCV.

There is no way the “where are the fields” troll on this board has a daughter on a GA team, so they are in the same boat as parents of lower team players at many (most?) clubs who also don’t know with certainty where their practices will be months before the season starts. Parents of GA players have either accepted the uncertainty (even if it’s unusual for ECNL/GA teams) or moved to other clubs.

+100 i think the field troll is a current FCV parent but won't be an FCV parent next season (they've already accepted an offer somewhere else)

AB doing a great job of spreading his lies throughout the media. Did you see the coverage on Soccer wire? It's tough to brag about a bunch of dweeb soccer staff. Never ever is it mentioned that a vast majority of their top female players fled the club this year. More bad treatment of females to advance themselves and their club over doing what's right for the individual. The Safe Sport red flags are flying at full staff for this club. Avoid here at all cost.

And the majority of us left over the uncertainty of fields.

It is more than one person looking for answers on the fields.

I feel sorry for all the outsiders who joined fcv not knowing the field situation.

So you have admittedly left the organization, but are still looking for answers on fields where you won't play? I have no idea what club you may have ended up at, but I hope the fields are located in a better place than where FCV future fields will be. You've clearly have some pent up anger, although I would assume you wouldn't spend so much time in such a petty way to beat a dead horse that you'll never ride again, unless you ended up in a clearly better place. So gods speed to you and your kid. See ya on the pitch.

I wouldn't say a majority left over the uncertainty of the fields...I think a majority left due to the uncertainty of the coaching staff (5~6 coaches quit mid season and the main 2 had to be begged to stay for the first 1/2 of the spring season) and how FCV handled it which left all the families scrambling. Then a couple players per team started leaving and that started the mass exodus because no one wanted to be left behind on a sinking ship and it took FCV forever to announce replacements, coaches, plans to finish out the spring season. If FCV wasn't able to finish out the spring season why would we stick around for the fall? There was a point in Jan/Feb where it legit looked like we weren't going to finish out the spring season.

That is why people left, i don't think anyone made their choice because of fields, if they did their priorities are messed up.

Well said. It was all the promises that were given by FCV that coaches, fields, and other answers would be coming soon and they kept delaying and not communicating, which left us to fill in the gaps with worst case speculations. There was no trust that FCV had their act together so most went somewhere else rather than go it on faith.

No chance. This has to be from FCV (now TSJFC) management. At least now we know they follow this forum and this is the best way to get a response!
