I appreciate the one singular person sticking up for AB and FCV field status for Fall 2024.

However, AB told multiple age groups they have an agreement with someone or some corporation to develop fields for the fall of 2024 and forward. Many of us our curious as to what happened with that?

We can all stop this back and forth with the one singular person defending AB and FCV if they would just answer this simple question.

It’s dead, which is why he hasn’t said anything about it for a very long time (weeks if not months by now) and instead has focused his field related comments to Loudoun County’s normal allocation process over the summer. This has been pointed out multiple times on this board. If you’re a current FCV family, then you are seeing AB at Hansen and Evergreen almost daily of late, so just go ask him if you seeing the obvious isn’t good enough. Posting here is not an honest attempt to get a direct answer from him.

I have yet to see AB at Hansen or Evergreen GA practice yet

Ditto

He is there, on the fields and in the parking lots, nearly every day. If your DC’s practices aren’t coinciding with his times there, then send him an email or call him. He’s really very easy to reach, if you actually want to reach him.

You're being way too logical because then they won't be able to post about the fields on here trying to stir stuff up

The only reason people are posting on this board about field availability is if they have an axe to grind and aren’t playing for FCV next season. If you currently play for the club or are considering the club next season you’ve already factored in the general geography where practices will be and don’t need exact field locations to make a decision. I’d really have to question a parent who feels that they were lied to or sold a bill of goods would still be playing for FCV which can only mean they have an axe to grind. It’s not the job of public board to answer the question about fields. While honest questions about honest issues are well suited for this board, the slights and posing of questions that NOBODY on this board is in a position to answer only wreak of an axe to grind.

Thanks AB! So where are the fields?

this is not specific to fcv, but there are more people on this board in a position to answer questions than you can shake a stick at

FCV won’t be announcing field locations until that information is official and ready to be announced based on the contract terms with the field owner. If parents of players who have received and accepted offers from FCV have not otherwise had their questions answered by FCV staff in a satisfactory manner they are welcome to reach out to either their individual coach or FCV administration directly.

The nature of securing fields is fluid for most clubs across the Northern Virginia region due to the processes in place for requesting and assigning public fields for use. At this time most clubs do not have certainty regarding the exact fields where their teams will be practicing.

Both current and past FCV parents, players, and coaches are welcome to contact FCV with any questions they have about FCV. FCV is very excited to welcome several new coaches to the FCV organization next season and look forward to serving our core mission to focus on our players and their long term successes both on and off the pitch.

Fields aren’t fluid. Most clubs get the same fields year after year. If they add turf to a field you usually get, you still get it. There are long-established clubs around. FCV isn’t suddenly going to be given their fields because they ask.

Maybe for the lower level teams across the ECNL/GA clubs in the area, but the top teams at all the other clubs have permanent/turf homes. Just not FCV.
