Does anyone feel they made the wrong school choice?

Does one feel they made the wrong school choice or in the past have felt you made the wrong decision? What did you do about it?

WES. We got both children out.

pp-what is the actual name of that school.never heard this acronym. Also, what was the problem with WES? I thought people loved that school.

What was the problem at WES? Was thinking about K.

We also left WES after 2 years. I wish we hadn't waited so long. It was a waste of money. Montgomery County public schools are better.

No. But sometimes I think about if we went the Catholic school route it could have made life a little easier at times. But we wanted to broaden our DCs lives and expose them to more diversity earlier than later.

Sort of. We chose a K-8 school that has been good for these early years. But DC needs something different, larger, and more differentiated, soon. It's not a bad school, it's a good school, but the fit isn't great for DC.

I authored a thread several months ago asking what happens when you try to apply out of your K-8 school, but DC isn't accepted elsewhere, so then DC has to stay put. It seems perilous.

Has anyone declined an offer of acceptance to a school and later ask for reconsideration?

We made a really bad decision with our DS school. Took us longer than it should have to get out and we think about it all the time, but now that we have moved to a new school, we all feel so much better we try to look forward instead of back.

Yes! We waited too long to get out and unfortunately, my DC is suffering the consequences.

This thread seems unhealthy to me. EVERY school has kids who leave it bc it is not the right fit for them.

OP here, it appears my question has taken on a different interpretation than intended. What I was wondering was whether anyone who has declined an offer of acceptance to a school, felt they made the wrong decision, and asked the school for reconsideration. What was the outcome?
