Career matters much more than one season. You can have a dream season as 75% of team’s Fogo have no clue what they are doing. Not hard to rack up stats against weak opponents.

I could not agree with you less about "career matters."
I've seen excellent players who got worse (or more likely rested on their laurels while other players got better) or got injured and never achieved their potential. And I've seem players with "meh" three years in HS and/or college only to come out of nowhere for their last season and achieve amazing results because of off-season training. The only thing that matters is the current season. Past achievements can't be a crunch.
