So now that my son's summer "camp" has started, the plan is to drop him off, then head to the gym in the morning.
My gym is one of those $10/month bare bones places--no towels, hair dryers, shampoo, etc. provided. I'm wondering if there are any special bags or something for carrying my wet toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, face wash) to/from the shower, or special quick-drying towels that people have found useful for this. I just don't want to leave any of my stuff behind. Recommendations for gym bags too--I've been stuffing everything in my old grad school backpack and it doesn't work so well and is hard to shove in the locker. Thanks! |
Go home and Shower. I would rather walk around in my smelly gym clothes than shower at the gym. |
PP-why the hang up about showering at the gym. Afraid to drop the soap?
I put my wet toiletries in a zip lock bag. The microfiber towels work great and don't get sopping wet. For a gym bag? If the backpack works, why not use it? No need to get a special gym bag. You could also use a big oversized beach bag. |
I agree with PP. Flip flops are a must and bring extra plastic grocery bags for your sweaty clothes and towel, shoes, etc. |
Just like in the college dorms - a pair of flip flops, a shower caddie, and a towel/robe. Get a small duffle bag (should be narrow enough to fit in a locker) to keep your stuff in.
Me, personally though, would prefer to shower in the comfort of my own home (esp. if Junior is still at camp for the morning). |
