David Trone for senate

This type of vote makes sense for governor, not for senate where you are handing control to a party whose extremists deny that Jan 6 happened and are threatening IVF and repro rights around the country. A vote for Hogan means another vote for R playbook; one lone senator cannot dictate party policy.

Given how many endorsements from across the Dem spectrum have come in for Alsobrooks, Trone must be a real asshat to work with.

For the primaries I will vote for Alsobrooks.
For the general I will vote for Hogan.

Raskin was the nail in the Trone coffin for me. I’m not excited about Trone or alsobrooks but I am very excited to keep MD hav8ng two democratic senators. I’ll vote for alsobrooks.

He’s a well known dick. Democrat fans like him, but real democrats know he’s an ass.

Why are you a registered Democrat?

I’m not sure who I’m voting for yet but he’s doing something right with Total Wine. It is one of the only businesses anywhere that has been fully staffed with incredibly helpful people all through the pandemic and since.

Disagree with this. Rushern Baker did a lot to clean it up. Seems there is more corruption brewing in MoCo these days

Trone and Alsobrooks have had several joint appearances, such as this recent one at Leisure World in Silver Spring.

But I am very annoyed that Trone won't commit to a professional televised debate.

Trone’s flat refusal to debate really turns me off, and I will not be voting for him.

Trone canceled a scheduled debate with Alsobrooks today. He had a plausible excuse (illness), but it is looking suspicious after he refused to do the televised debate last week.

At heart, I’m an independent. In order to have any say in politics and policy in Montgomery county, I need to be registered as a Democrat.

He was literally in the hospital.

We have far too many top 1% and top 0.1% in both houses at this point.

Before labeling him, why not try to see what he has tried to do in Congress? He has been a huge advocate for mental health and drug addiction issues, having experienced the death of his nephew form a drug overdose.

My interactions when needing help from his office were great. On top of the request, responsive and solving the issue on a timely basis. This is in contrast with my needing help from Congressmen Raskin's office which did not go as well nor were there as responsive. We got switched from Trone to Raskin due to redistricting.

I would much rather have someone who is charge and knows how to get things done. Who cares if they have money or not?

+1 this was my experience too with Trone’s office vs. Raskin’s. The responsiveness of Trone’s office was far better and more professional. That starts at the top.

+1 this is fact. Trone’s office immediately responded to my problem when Raskin’s was dismissive. This may be that Trone just hired better people but it does say something!

Raskin has bad constituent service, but people make excuses for it because he’s a liberal champion. I’d rather he spent less time on TV and more time helping residents with passports and VA benefits.

The Maryland Democratic Party closing ranks is not an endorsement. Otherwise we’d have had Governor Brown and Governor Kennedy-Townsend.
