Asians and Driving

Why can't Asians drive properly?? Am not trying to be racist but could an Asian person answer this so that we could dispense with some of the speculation out there - i.e. - they have no peripheral vision, they are used to driving on narrower roads in their home countries, etc. (Also by Asian, I am talking about Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc.)

My (South Asian) co-worker says it's because there's either a "princess" thing going on or the women have been made to go to piano lessons, etc., by their Tiger Moms.

My (East Asian) boss also wonders why the fark so many white guys took their Asian girlfriends to see Madama Butterfly at the Kennedy Center.

There's a theory I've heard that Chinese people who grew up in China under the 1 child law are very self-centered, and their driving reflects that. So they don't care if they're going 20 mph and the speed limit is 45, or if they are stradding 2 lanes, or if they make a left hand turn from the right lane. They don't care about anyone else on the road but themselves.

Now I would like to note before I get ripped to shreds that this is a theory I have heard, not one that I endorse.
